Cyanotype

John Frederick William Herschel – 1842

Cyanotype is a photographic contact printing process, identifiable from its Prussian blue color. It was widely used in the 20th century to reproduce technical and architectural drawings in the form of blueprints. Strictly speaking, cyanotype is an iron-based technique rather than silver-based.
