1. Products
Where are your products made?

All of our prints and custom frames are handmade in France, and our shipping cases too. Our paper, however, comes from Germany, since operating paper mills are sadly becoming extremely rare in France.

Are your products prints or photographs?

Technically they’re photographs, since all our processes involve light-sensitive material being exposed to light at some point. The reason we refer to our products as prints is because we contact-print our photographs. A contact print is a photographic image produced from film (negative or positive) placed in direct contact with a piece of photosensitive paper. Light is then briefly shone through the negative and the paper is developed to reveal the final print.

How can I be confident that you sell quality prints?

We could say simply because we take a tremendous amount of time putting it all together. Each step of the way, we pay attention to the smallest details that only a craftsman could care about. But that counts for nothing compared to letting you judge for yourself. It’s risk-free – we accept returns on all our products.

Can I see the products for real?

Unfortunately we do not have a physical store or showroom at this time. But if you’re in Paris, get in touch with us and we can probably set up a studio visit. Email us at contact@schema.paris to arrange a visit.

Do you take custom orders?

Although we are unable to make custom pieces for individuals in most cases, we can accommodate and arrange special projects with larger quantities. Email us at contact@schema.paris for more information.

Do you accept artwork submissions?

Yes, we will give serious consideration to every submission. If we believe your work could join the collection, we’ll get back to you with an offer and an image licensing agreement. Email us at collab@schema.paris to see your work published.

2. Orders
Sold out?!

Yes, sold out. When we run out of copies of a given print, that print is gone; we do not reprint artwork twice using the same process. But if you liked an image very much, chances are it may resurface at some point, made using a different process. That said, we cannot provide any guarantees, so please subscribe to our newsletter to ensure you never miss a print.

When will my order ship?

We only ship on Mondays and, depending on your order, our standard production time is 3-4 weeks. We know it can feel like a long wait but we believe the end result is worth the wait and acceptable, since each order is customized and handmade. Once your order has shipped you will be notified by email and receive your tracking number.

How safe is my order during shipping?

We ship each print in an individual hardshell case for both domestic and international deliveries, to ensure the best possible protection. However, you are responsible for checking the condition of the items you receive  at the time of delivery. Any problems or issues concerning the delivery must be addressed in accordance with our terms and conditions.

Why do you only ship on Mondays?

Simply because the rest of the week we can then focus on what we do best: crafting quality prints.

Can you accommodate an urgent order?

Yes, depending on our production schedule. Please email us at contact@schema.paris with your request before placing your order; we usually respond within a few hours.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Yes, you can cancel or change your order up until it goes into production. Please email us at contact@schema.paris.

3. Payment
Is my payment secure?

Yes, payments are 100% secure. All data exchange is encrypted using SSL protocol, meaning it cannot be detected, intercepted or used by third parties. This also means we do not record your credit card details in our computer system.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards: CB, Visa, MasterCard as well as PayPal.

What if I did not receive confirmation via email?

If your payment by card went through, and you did not receive confirmation of your order by email within minutes, please email contact@schema.paris with your issue. Checking with your bank can take a little longer and may require manual validation.

What if I’m experiencing problems with your website?

If you are having trouble completing your transaction or you’re encountering other website-related issues, please email us at contact@schema.paris and describe your issue, and we will respond as quickly as possible. Please make sure your browser is up to date before contacting us.

3. Shipping & Returns
What shipping method do you use?

Your product will be delivered via GLS for the EU, and by express courier for the rest of the world. Each parcel has its own tracking number.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship all over the world. Email us at contact@schema.paris if you’re having trouble placing an order.

What are the refund terms and conditions?

Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. Merchandise must be returned in like-new condition within 14 days of the delivery confirmation date. Returned merchandise should be insured to avoid damage or loss during transit.

Can I exchange my product?

As we don't have much inventory, it might be hard to simply swap one product for another, but please email us at contact@schema.paris and we will do our best to work something out.

When will I get my refund?

Refunds will be processed as soon as the merchandise is received. Please allow 14 days for this to be reflected in your account.
